
Ulcer
An ulcer can occur at any location in the body.
A skin ulcer is a break in the skin such that there is a loss of the epidermis and part or all of the dermis of the skin, leaving a moist depressed lesion. There are many different specific types of skin ulcer, as well as various types of ulcers that affect other parts of the body.
The word ulcer is included in this section because it is a type of skin lesion.
