Pronator Teres

The pronator teres muscles are deep muscles located at the elbow on both sides of the body.

 

Origin, Insertion and Actions of the Pronator Teres muscles:

Points of Origin: Humeral head: Ulnar head:
  • Medial side of the coronoid process of the ulna (bone), via a thin fascicle (some texts use the Latin word 'fasciculus' interchangeably with 'fascicle')
Point of Insertion:
  • Midway along the lateral surface of the radius (bone)
